Poppy 5K Run/Walk
The Onarga American Legion Auxiliary Unit is proud to host this annual 5K Run/Walk. All proceeds go to support veterans and their families. The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by our veterans while protecting our freedoms.
Registration and the race finish line are located near the historic Onarga American Legion Post 551 building, located on the eastern side of Onarga's Durham Park. Runners and walkers will follow a flat, paved route around the park and through the quaint streets of this small town. Members of the Onarga American Legion family will be on site to direct, support, and cheer on our participants!
All ages are invited to join! Strollers are welcome. Sign up online at https://runsignup.com/Race/IL/Onarga/ALAPoppy5K
