The Newton County Sheriff’s Department and Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a single-vehicle fatal crash on Labor Day.  22-year-old Phillip Eilers of Brook was killed in Monday’s accident on County Road 1000 S.

He was the lone occupant of the vehicle that left the roadway, ejecting the driver. Eilers was pronounced dead at the scene.
