New Satellite Clinic in Watseka
The Vermilion County Health Department announced the opening of a new satellite Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clinic in Iroquois County. The Vermilion County agency is partnerning with the Iroquois County Public Health Department to enhance access to vital nutrition services for families. The expansion reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to supporting the health and well-being of mothers, infants, and children up to age five.
The new clinic will operate at the Iroquois County Health Department, at the Administrative Center in Watseka. Services will be available on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, from 9 am to 4 pm. Appointments are encouraged to ensure timely service.
WIC is a federally funded program that provides nutritious foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to other health services for eligible pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children. Eligibility is based on income guidelines.
