Hoopeston Police report the arrests of three male juveniles after a Snapchat video revealed them holding a boy at gunpoint.
Police were contacted Tuesday about the video, which was posted on Snapchat. In a press release, the video showed a male juvenile being held at gunpoint and being told to take articles of clothing off while at the same time being told to repeat “degrading remarks.”
Another male juvenile was seated next to the victim as well as a second male that recorded a portion of the incident. Police reported three male juveniles were arrested for unlawful restraint, aggravated assault and mob action charges.
The 11-year-old suspect has been released from Hoopeston Police Department custody and the two 14-year-old suspects have been transported to the Vermilion County Juvenile Detention Center.
