Wilcox Stepping Down as Kankakee High School AD

Kankakee High School Athletic Director Ronnie Wilcox announced today that he will be stepping down from his role. Wilcox released the following statement on the Kankakee High School Athletics Facebook page:

"After 19 years in the Kankakee School District, 11 of those serving as Athletic Director at Kankakee High School, I have made the difficult decision to step away from my role.

This journey has meant far more to me than wins, titles, or records. It's been about the relationships built along the way the student-athletes who gave their all, the coaches who led with passion, the colleagues who became lifelong friends, and the community that showed unwavering support.

Together, we've celebrated incredible accomplishments, grown through challenges, and built something that I will always be proud of. Watching our students succeed both on and off the field has been the greatest reward of all.

I have loved Kankakee. This community will always hold a special place in my heart, but it is time for my next chapter to pursue new opportunities.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this chapter your impact on my will never be forgotten. While this chapter is coming to a close, I'm excited for what lies ahead and will always be cheering on Kays Athletics & Kankakee School District!"
