Track and Field
The Watseka boys track and field team scored 98 points en route to a 2nd place finish behind meet winner Illinois Lutheran at last night's 6 team meet at Watseka. Watseka's Justin Covarrubias had 1st place finishes in the shot put with a career best 44' 2.75" and the discus with a season best throw of 130' 2". CJ Murray finished in 1st place in the 300 hurdles with a season best time of 46.24.

Aden Pinson of St. Anne nabbed first place in the 100 meters and 200 meters.

Milford had several first place finishers including Skylar Estay in the 110 hurdles, the 4x200 team of Jace Comstock, Evan Havens, Brayden Forbes and Axel Neukomm, and the 4x400 squad of Comstock, Estay, Neukomm and Jonah Yergler.

The Watseka Girls Track and Field Team also hosted a 6 team meet at Historic Blake Field Monday night, taking first place by scoring 137 points. Buckley Christ Lutheran was 2nd with 74 points. Watseka's Lydia Parmenter took first place in the 3200 Run, Gabby Kohl won the shot put and the 800 Relay team of Adalyn Bury, Cara Petersen, Colbi Maple, and Lily Sorenson took first place.

Milford saw a handful of first place finishes with Emily Karas in the 800 meters, Emma Malabehar in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, Addison Lucht in the long jump and triple jump and the 4x100 team of Malabehar, Karas, Hannah Stone and Lucht.

 Jayla Smith of St. Anne finished second in the 100 meters while teammate Emma Renchen took second in the discus.
