Two people were killed Thursday near the Kankakee-Will County line when a vehicle and a pickup truck collided. Illinois State Police investigated at Illinois Route 50 and Kankakee County Road 12,000 N.

53-year-old Lisa Doan of Wilmington was eastbound when she failed to stop at the Route 50 intersection. Her vehicle was hit by a southbound pickup on Route 50. Doan died at the scene. Her 9-year-old granddaughter was extricated by emergency responders and later died at a hospital. The pickup driver was not hurt. The accident happened just before 1 pm.
