Update: Missing ISU grad's body identified

Jelani Day's body has been identified.  The LaSalle County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the body found in the Illinois River on September 4th is that of missing Danville native Jelani Day.  The 25-year-old Day was a grad student at Illinois State University.  He went missing August 24th. His last known location had been at a Bloomington business (Beyond Hello) on August 24th.  His car was found in LaSalle County with no license plates, in a wooded area near Peru, on August 27th.

Bloomington Police say the investigation of the missing-pewrson case has not slowed down after the body was identified Thursday. Several police agencies and the FBI continue the investigation.  Authorities say 'time will tell" whether the case is a homicide.
