Kankakee Community College (Monday) honored the longtime 'Voice of the Cavaliers.'  Roy Cordes was recognized at a retirement reception.  His enthusiastic voice was part of the excitement of KCC sports for over 15 years.  

Cordes brought life to many athletic events, calling the action during several of KCC's national title runs.  Includes was the 2015 softball season that led to the national title, and the 2017 baseball national championship season.          

Cordes said, "it's been an incredible honor to be part of so many exciting moments in KCC athletics.  Getting to know the athlete, coaches and fans over the years has been a true privilege."  Roy adds, "I appreciate the support and prayers from the KCC community.  It's like having another family.  I'll always be proud to have been The Voice of the Cavaliers."
