Little less than a week before the tax deadline (April 15 is when you need to have that paper work in the mail).  The Illinois Department of Revenue is urging state taxpayers to file their 2025 tax returns in advance of that deadline. People are urged to file their state income tax returns ahead of the April 15th deadline. That may help avoid any potential issues, that could lead to penalties.
