Emergency responders were at Bishop McNamara Catholic high school (Tuesday) morning after a bomb threat. It was at approximately 7:45 am when Kankakee City Police received notification that a bomb threat was made via social media to the school.
School officials along with police and fire personnel and other law enforcement authorities immediately evacuated all students from the school and grounds to neighboring facilities for their protection. Local law enforcement completed a sweep of the building and reviewed security cameras and found that the threat was not creditable and that the school was safe and secure.
All were allowed back to the school building just before 9 am to resume classes.
