Poor air quality has expanded across portions of Illinois and Indiana due to Canadian wildfire smoke. This has led particulate levels to increase today and this (Thursday) evening above the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category of the EPA Air Quality Index. Recommended actions include reducing prolonged activities or heavy exertion outdoors.

The NWS says it's likely that the wildfire smoke will linger Friday too.  Mild temps in the 70s will continue into the weekend with a chance of showers and T-storms.
