Saba returns: Service-dog reunited with owner

Great news from Piper City !  'Saba' the service dog is back with her owner.

Missing since Sunday night after a traffic accident, the golden-doodle named Saba was reunited with her owner this (Tuesday) morning after running and hiding scared following the accident south of Piper City, found its way back to owner, Amanda Robles.  And Amanda can't say thank you enough for all the support from volunteers and the Piper City firemen for all the help and support.

No details on how Saba was reunited, but Piper City Fire Chief Tony Lane said owner, Amanda, had set up camp in the area where the accident happened and used home-items to offer a scent that maybe her dog would notice and find her way.

Amanda Robles car rolled onto its top in a ditch near Route 115 and County road 2200 N about 11 pm Sunday.  She was unconscious in the vehicle awile and when she came around, her dog was gone. Monday, the service-dog was spotted a few times on a property site but was not allowing anyone to close.  Reports came in about 10:30 am today that Saba and Amanda had been reunited.
