Amy Young, Director of Nursing at Rosecrance Behavioral Health who has a location in Kankakee, has been named a Frontline Honoree in Behavioral Health. The honor recognizes leaders who are redefining frontline care and making a lasting impact on patients, families, and communities.
Young has played a pivotal role in expanding access to evidence-based care for individuals facing substance use and psychiatric disorders throughout her tenure at Rosecrance. She helped design and implement the organization’s medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program, which now serves hundreds of clients each year and has contributed to a 28% reduction in relapse rates among participants.
In addition, Young provides leadership for one of northern Illinois’ only medical detox programs for pregnant women, championing high-quality, inclusive care for a population that often encounters stigma and limited treatment options.
