A 36-year-old woman was convicted on a residential burglary charge in a Livingston County court case. Breanna Dayton was found guilty following a jury trial alleging she committed residential burglary, according to the Livingston County State’s Attorney.
Prosecutors proved Dayton entered a home while the homeowner was away on vacation. A doorbell video camera captured Dayton entering the home and then leaving with an item the owner had reported missing. The case was investigated by the Pontiac Police Department in August of 2025. The jury returned a guilty verdict finding that Dayton had entered the home without authority to commit the crime. A sentencing date has not been set. Dayton remains in custody.
