Police pursuits net arrests in Iroquois, Benton Counties

A Thawville man was arrested after leading Iroquois County Sheriff deputies on a chase. 37-year-old Kevin Murry is charged with aggravated fleeing & attempting to allude an officer, aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving with a suspended license.  Murry was released under provisions of the Pretrial Fairness Act.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop (May 1) after an Illinois State Police alert about a reckless driver. Murry however, led polcie on a high-speed pursuit from Crescent City to Woodland where he was taken into custody.    

A Country Club Hills, IL motorist was jailed in Indianba after a weekend pursuit thru Warren and Benton Counties in Indiana.  22-year-old Christopher McCaa was stopped for speeding on SR 63 in Warfren County Friday morning.  He fled from a State trooper onto U.S. 41 before his vehicle was disabled by stop-sticks in Benton County.  McCaa is charged with Felony resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, reckless driving, driving while license suspended and possession of marijuana.
