Pickup truck crashes into Kankakee house

A Kankakee family escaped injury when the alleged driver of a pick-up truck crashed into their house early Sunday morning. Kankakee City Police tracked down the un-identified driver. The family was displaced until repairs can be made to the structure.

Kankakee Fire responded to the reported crash in the 1000-block of East Maple Street just before 2 am. Fire Chief Bryan LaRoche (Luh-Roach) the truck slammed into the side of the house. Damage estimates ranged from $25 - $30,000. The structural damage prohibited the family from occupying the house until repairs could be made. The City assisted the family.
