A semi-truck fire closed a part of Interstate 57 near Chebanse Monday.  The closure was short-lived.  The debris was cleared quickly and traffic was moving again within about two hours.  It was about 5:40 pm when Illinois State Police announced that troopers were handling a semi-truck fire just south of Chebanse. I-57 southbound lanes were closed while traffic was rerouted.  No injury was reported.
