It appears taxpayers will eventually own the former Hidden Cove Sports Complex.

The Bourbonnais Park District Board (Monday) agreed to lease the sport plex, which had been operating as Legends Sportsplex. The lease agreement is for the next 10 years. After that 10 years, the facility belongs to the taxpayers.

Terms of the agreement are yet to ironed out. A businessmen is in line to first purchase the building for $2.4 million. The rent is listed at between $19 and $34,000 a month.

This proposed transaction comes after taxpayers last year voted NO on a bond sale in a referendum vote.
