A special Kankakee City Council meeting next Tuesday will further address public safety. The 5:30 pm meeting is September 29.  The meeting will be livestreamed on Comcast channel 4, the City YoyTuve channel and the city website.

Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong also says public comments can be emailed up until 3 pm that day, Tuesday, September 29.  Comments should be directed to publiccomments@citykankakee-il.gov

The mayor said she's heard many concerns from residents.  She said residents are encouraged to sharge concerns and ideas and get involved.  Mayor Wells-Armstrong added, 'no one person can resolve this complex issue. This will take the effort of our village.'
