An electrical fire alerted Kankakee firefighters to the 800-block of S. Main Street at 8:15 Thursday evening.  The smell of sometthing burning led to the fire department being notified. The fire statted in the garage, entered the laundry area and climbed into the attic space.  No one was injured, but residents are displaced.
