Iroquois County crash kills one, injures three

A two-car crash west of Gilman (Sunday) killed one person and injured three others. And the investigation has been hampered while authorities tried to identify the person who died.  Iroquois County Coroner Bill Cheatum said a female passenger in the victim’s car was unresponsive at a hospital. The victim who passed away at the scene of the crash also raised identification challenges.

He has since been identified as 28-year-old Ryan Janis of Matteson.
