A two-vehicle crash on I-57 this (Monday 7/27) morning in Iroquois County killed one driver and injured a second. The victim killed was northbound in the southbound lane, three miles north of Buckley… according to County Coroner Bill Cheatum.

Illinois State Police, Buckley Fire and EMS responded to the scene, the accident reported just past 3:30 am. A section of I-57 was closed during the investigation.

The victim killed was pronounced dead at the scene.  The second driver was transported to Carle Hospital in Urbana.
