Illinois House Resolution honors the late-State Rep Bill Black

The memory of State Representative Bill Black was recognized Wednesday by state lawmakers in Springfield.  The Illinois House of Representatives adopted House Resolution 409 which mourns the passing of former Illinois State Representative Bill Black.  The Danville lawmaker was Assistant Minority Leader. Black was a strong voice for Vermilion and Iroquois County in past years. Current State Rep Mike Marron (R-Fithian) sponsored the resolution and talked about the mentor Black was for him and others.  Maron said the legislation Bill Black was involved with was importanot to Vermilion County residents and all of Illinois, especially  education matters. 

Black and former Senator Babe Woodyard (Chrisman) teamed to provide legislative support for east-central Illinois.
