Hunter fills vacancy on Kankakee County Board

A veteran in the political arena fills a vacancy on the Kankakee County Board. Steve Hunter, who served the City of Kankakee as alderman for 40 years and served Illinois for 39 years, was sworn-in (Tues) to serve the County Board in District 17. He will look to fill the shoes of George Washington Jr. who died recently.

Hunter said he’d like to direct his efforts toward jobs. He thanked the Board for the support in welcoming him.
