Gasoline prices jump for holiday travel

Just in time for holiday traveling, gasoline prices have jumped in the Danville area and across the nation. Regular unleaded gasoline which had been selling for $3.12 a gallon at one Danville gas station on Thursday was selling it for $3.29 a gallon on Sunday.

The Triple A Motor Club's annual forecast predicted that 94-million Americans would travel 50 miles or more between Saturday (December 21st) and Wednesday, January 1st. The number of travelers is up six-percent from this time a year ago.             (article submitted}
