Five people injured in Bourbonnais crash

A St. Anne man was arrested for DUI after a 2-vehicle crash (Tuesday) in Bourbonnais Township. 42-year-old Adam DeYoung was northbound on Route 45-52 in a pickup truck when he crossed the centerline. Illinois State Police report a crash near 11,000 N Road sent five local people to area hospitals. Police reported it was a head-on collision with a southbound jeep driven by 30-year-old Jessica Vaughn of Bourbonnais. A third car following Vaughn then ran into the two initial vehicles. DeYoung was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Reports stated Vaughn and three people in the third car, identified as 55-year-old Lynda Kambic, 57-year-old Phil Kambic and 30-year-old Jacob Kambic all of Bourbonnais, were taken to the hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. DeYoung was charged by ISP with driving under the influence of drugs and other traffic violations.
