Elevated Fire Danger and Strong Winds Today

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement as wind gusts up to 40 to 45 mph, combined with afternoon relative humidity values falling to 30 to 35 percent, and dry fine fuels will lead to an elevated fire danger later this morning and afternoon.

Any grass or brush fires that ignite will likely become difficult to control. Exercise caution with any outdoor burning or open flames and with the disposal of smoking materials.
