Saturday offers Iroquois County residents an opportunity to get rid of those used, out-dated electronic devices. A recycling event is set for people to dump the stuff they've been collecting for a long time.
The City of Watseka and the Iroquois County Board sponsor the program. Items can be dropped off at the Riverside Healthcare parking on E. Walnut Strret. Hours are from 9 am 'til 12 Noon. Work crews will unload the items, so people don't even have to get out of their vehicles. Visitors need to realize therr are items that won't be accepted.
Accepted items include: • Answering machines... • Battery backups and Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS)... • Camcorders... • Cameras... • Cellular/mobile phones... pagers... tablets ... • Christmas tree lights... • Computer peripherals (keyboards, mice, etc.) ... • Desktop/laptop computers... • DVD/CD players, VCRs... • Fax machines, printers, scanners, copiers .... • Ink cartridges and toner... and much more.
