A Friday night house fire in Danville leaft one person dead and five pets also perished in the flames. The Vermilion County Coroner hasn't yet identified the person who died.  Danville firemen recoverd the body of one of thge home's occupants after the fire was extinguished. 

No one else was injured. The cause is under investigation.  The American red Cross is assisting the family.

Danville Fire responded to the 1300-block of McKinley Avenue a little before midnight to find flames consuming the house from the front and west sides. Bystanders informed fire personnel someone was still inside. A search after the fire was out revealed the victim inside.
