Clint Perzee: New Sheriff in Iroquois County

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          A veteran member of the Iroquois County Sheriff's Department has stepped into a new role.  Clint Perzee took his oath of office (Friday).  He's filling a vacancy left by the resignation of former Sheriff Derek Hagen.  Perzee will fill a 14-month vacancy then seek the office in the November 2022 election. Hagen has accepted a position in the private sector.

Perzee has served as a patrolman and investigator during his law enforcement career.  He plans to work with members of the department in taking the sheriff's department into the future.  He said he appreciates the support of former sheriffs Hagen and Eldon Sprau and adds, the current staff is dedicated and hard-working. 

Perzee said the support of his family during his career has been important and the family presence at his swearing-in was more than special to him.
