A two-vehicle fatal crash in Benton County, IN Wednesday is being investigated by Indiana State Police.  A crash reconstruction team was requested after the crash in a work zone on State Road 18 at CR 1200 E.  A 43-year-old from Wolcott (IN) was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Benton County Sheriff John Cox.

Kacy J. Cunningham died in the crash just before 10 am.  Cunningham's car was stopped in traffic where am INDOT crew was conducting a chip & seal operation.  A flagman had westbound traffic stopped.  A westbound pickup truck failed to stop, rear-ending the Cunningham car.  The driver of the pickup was not injured.

Several emergency responder agencies, including the Benton County Coroner were on the scene. The road was closed for over two hours while the investigation was completed.
