Incumbents earn voters trust for Iroquois County Board

County Board Chairman Paul Ducat was among the winners in Tuesday's Illinois Primary Election. Ducat received 36% of the votes in District 1.  Newcomer John Meents received 35%. Nancy Owens came up short with 28%.  The District 2 vote had Kathleen Perkinson and Steve Huse winning re-election.  The incumbents earned 38 and 27% of the votes. Challenger Chris Pheifer finished with 24%.  The District 4 race shows former Board member Kevin Bohlmann the top voter-getter with 44%.  Incumbent Mitchell Bence was re-elected with 39%, Marion Jaworski had 15%.

In Ford County, Kelsie Vaughn defeated Amy Fredrick... 51% to 49% ... in a contested race for County Clerk & Recorder.

In Vermilion County, John Thompson defeated Mike Hartshorn for the Republican nomination for Sheriff.
