The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is warning people about a new text message scam that's impersonating the agency.
The scam uses links that look like official State of Indiana web addresses, according to the BMV. These links take people to fake websites designed to look like the real BMV site.
The fraudulent sites even create fake BMV receipts and confirmation numbers to trick customers.
