Kankakee Community College officials have announced the main campus, its extension centers, and manufacturing facility will remain closed for the rest of this week. Officials say the closures will allow time for damage assessments and the needed repairs after Tuesday's tornado. Plans are to resume normal operations on Monday, March 16.
KCC's main Riverfront campus and the Manufacturing Industrial Tech Center on Route 45 were closed Wednesday, along with the Extension Centers in Bradley and Watseka. The closures continue this week.
There is an active shelter for those in need on College Drive.
