Kathleen Perkinson Announces Retirement from Federated Bank

Federated Bank Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Kathleen Perkinson has announced her retirement. 

Perkinson joined Federated Bank in 2019 and has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer throughout a period of growth, acquisitions, and organizational change. In this role, she led financial planning, oversight, and reporting, while supporting executive leadership and the Board on strategic initiatives. Her work focused on long-term financial strength, disciplined risk management, and sound decision making to support customers and communities served by the Bank.

Perkinson brought a broad professional background in finance, planning, community development, and agriculture. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and completed advanced studies at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Prior to and alongside her banking career, she held leadership roles in land use planning, real estate development, and private business operations in Texas and California, providing experience across complex financial and regulatory environments. She also provides leadership to her family’s farming operations.

In addition to her professional career, Perkinson has remained deeply engaged in public and community service throughout the communities where she lived and worked. She was appointed and subsequently elected to the Iroquois County Board, District 2, in 2024, where she represents residents and contributes to county governance, budgeting, and policy decisions. She also serves on the Iroquois Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees and Foundation, supporting oversight and access to local healthcare services. Her public service reflects a strong commitment to local leadership and community focused decision making.
