House Bill 2630 requires the Department of Transportation to develop a pilot program to test the use of solar powered LED road signs in five counties.  The Department would then file a report from the counties with the General Assembly.  Representative Jason Bunting explained the LED lighting would be used on warning signs to give drivers a heads-up, a btter chance of seeing what's ahead.  Bunting said a constituent concern entertained the idea following an accident that was avoidable.  The bill is headed to the House floor for consideration.
