Kankakee Police have a 23-year-old man in custody for murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.  Formal charges were pending.  Polcie have not yet said if the man is the person responsible for the fatal shooting of a Bourbonnais man last Friday afternoon.  32-year-old Patrick Chism was shot multiple times as he sat in a parked vehicle in the 1300-block of W. Station Street in Kanakkee just before 2 pm.  Chism died at a hospital.  His 8-year-old daughter, who was in the cvar with him, was injured.  She was seriously injured. Police had been looking for a grey-colered Nissan sedan.  Police reported the Nissan had driven past the Chism vehicle and fired several rounds.
