2,084 New Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus Disease in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today announced 2,084 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 21 additional confirmed deaths.

Over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases reported for first time in months; Gov. Pritzker announces new emergency rules for mask requirements. The state now shows 190,508 cases, including 7,613 deaths. 

Kankakee County added 38 new cases Friday.  The total case count is now 1,834.  One new case was added in Iroquois County.  The public health officials report 257 confirmed cases with another 16 probable cases. Ford County added one new confirmed case, 65 total cases.

In Indiana -- Jasper County Public Health reported eight new cases, White County reports three new cases, and Newton County addded one new case. Tippecanoe County added 26 new cases Thursday, the total there is 1146.
