River Watches continue, weekend rains bring 2-4+ inches

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

Iroquois River at Rensselaer affecting Jasper County
Iroquois River near Foresman affecting Newton County
Iroquois River at Iroquois affecting Iroquois County
Kankakee River at Dunns Bridge affecting Porter County
Kankakee River near Kouts affecting Jasper and Porter Counties
Vermilion River near Leonore affecting La Salle County
Kankakee River at Shelby affecting Lake and Newton Counties

The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well
as forecast precipitation 24-48 hours into the future.

 Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Iroquois River at Iroquois, or from Near US-41 downstream to
confluence with Sugar Creek at Watseka.
* until Friday evening.
* At 800 AM Monday the stage was 18.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 20.3 feet by
Tuesday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Friday
