Watseka Park District promotes Blessing Box

The Watseka Park District has a Blessing Box, thanks to Watseka Girl Scout Troop 2529.  The Blessing Box is the first in Iroquois County.

The weatherproof box contains supplies that can help people in need. The Blessing Box was constructed by Ron & Alicia Squires.  Its contains various items, including Soup and other canned goods, hygiene items and several everyday necessary itmes people use daily.  There's no fee to take any of the items.  The motto is "take what you need, leave what you can."

The Girl Scout troop is helping to stock the box and also learning a valuable lesson about helping people in need... people helping people.

Donations to help the Blessing Box cause are accepted at the Watseka Park District.
