A 25-year-old Chicago woman died in a single-car crash this (Wed) morning on U.S. 41 in Newton County, IN. Sheriff’s Police investigated at 5 am just north of County Road 600 N.
The un-identified driver was northbound when she apparently lost control and hit a guardrail.
A 23-year-old female passenger and a 3-year-old were injured and taken to area hospitals.
The accident is under investigation. The Newton County Sheriff’s Department welcomes information from anyone who may have witnessed the accident.
The northbound lanes of the highway were closed for about a two hours. Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by the Coroner’s Office, Lake and Lincoln Township Fire, Morocco Fire and Newton County EMS.
