Boswell is just one of the many communities in Benton County, Indiana hit hard by flooding. Benton County's Emergency Management Agency Director, John Fields, said ten families had to be rescued in Boswell.
The Red Cross set up a shelter at the Boswell Fire Department. There is a travel warning issued for Benton County. Flooding has caused road closures.
In Newton County.... State Road 16 is closed between US 41 and State Road 55 due to flooding in Brook. Several roads are also closed along the Iroquois River and travel is prohibited.
