Early Voting for 2nd Congressional Special Election

---   Candidates Forum in Kankakee Tonight   ----

Early voting is underway for the Special Congressional / Consolidated Primary Election in Illinois.   Kankakee County Clerk Bruce Clark informs early voters can cast ballots prior to February 26th.  Early voting can be completed  at the County Clerk's Office at 189 E. Court Street, Kankakee.  Monday thru Friday hours are 8:30 AM 'til 4:30 PM.

The Clerk's office is closed today (Feb 12th) in observance of Lincoln's Birthday.

Additional early Voting hours are offered on consectutive Saturdays, Feb 16 and 23, from 8:30 AM 'til 12 Noon.

Republican and Democratic candidates vying for the Congressional seat of former Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. are invited to a candidates’ forum in Kankakee tonight.

The Kankakee Chamber of Commerce and the Kankakee branch of the NAACP is sponsoring the event at the Kankakee Public Library. The program begins at 6 pm.
