Young people surfacing in confirmed COVID-19 cases

Vermilion County Health Department officials reported nine new COVID-19 cases on Monday. And it’s the young ages of individuals getting attention. Officials report the new patients include: a baby, a grade school-aged child, two people in their 20s, one in their 30s, another in their 50s, and one each in their 70s, 80s and 90s. In total, there have been 263 positive COVID-19 cases in Vermilion County, including two deaths.

Iroquois County Public Health reported two new confirmed cases of COVID Monday, now 278 confirmed cases.  Ford County Public Health announced four new cases yesterday.  There are now 80 total cases. Kankakee County recorded its 67th death related to the pandemic.  There were also 39 new cases.  Total cases in Kankakee County is at 1,979.

In Indiana --  Jasper and White Counties added new cases, one in Jasper and two in White.  Tippecanoe County picked up 15 new cases.  Newton County is at 122 and Benton County 69.  The total in White County is 387.
