Fire departments are urging public cooperation to refrain from buring today (Tuesday).  High winds pose a great risk of wild fires.  Citizens should consider postponing and planned burning. An elevated risk of fires is in the alert issued by the NWS due to the very dry airmass and windy conditions.  Winds today are expected to exceed 25 pmh from the southwest this morning and intensify before slowing this evening.  Extreme caution is the word when dealing with open flames and any smoking materials.
