A 17-year-old shot to death in Kankakee Sunday night has been identified. The Kankakee County Coroner’s office investigated the homicide along with city police. The victim was Paso Torres Davier. He was a recent newcomer to Kankakee. Police report the victim was sitting in a car in a driveway in the 600-block of S. Nelson Avenue about 11 pm. Witnesses, who were with the victim in the car, told investigators someone approached the car on foot and fired into the vehicle then fled on foot. No one else in the car was injured.
