Trick ‘R Treat Safety >

Young trick-or-treaters will be out and about in many communities this weekend, most will be skipping door-to-door Saturday. Safety is always the main priority for the Halloween fun.

Cap’t Shannon Cothran of the Newton County Sheriff’s Dept reminds parents to make sure their children can be seen. The hours for trick-r-treating in many towns are posted on the WGFA website under the news link. Cap’t Cothran also says know your neighborhood and where the kids are visiting. He said children should only visit homes where porch lights are turned on. And motorists should be more aware, watch out for excited children who may not watch out for you and dart into the street.
