It appears to have been a double-drowning over the weekend on the Kankakee River. Two people are missing while two others were rescued (Sunday) near the mouth of the Indian Caves and the river. Emergency personnel were dispatched around 10:40 am. Before firefighters arrived, two Bradley Police officers and an off-duty Kankakee County Sheriff’s Deputy reportedly rescued two, but two others reportedly slipped under the water and never resurfaced. The search resumes today.
