Retiring Judge James Kinzer recognized for ‘exemplary service’

The Iroquois County Board (Tuesday) approved a Resolution of Appreciation for years of service from Judge James Kinzer. Kinzer’s pending retirement points to his distinguished service to Iroquois County, representing the best tradition of excellence, dedication to duty and competence in office.

Judge Kinzer has served the 21st circuit as a Circuit and Associate Judge. He was appointed Associate Judge in 2005, then to his Circuit post in 2016.

The judge previously served the law firm of Razzano & Kinzer from 1976-2005 and also served as Assistant Public Defender in Iroquois County.

The County Board Resolution further states, WHEREAS, Circuit Judge James Kinzer has served faithfully and with honor for 44-years as a member of the Iroquois County Judicial System.
